Come and celebrate the best employees in the hospitality industry.
Dear Trade Show Vendors and Attendees,
Due to the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic escalation, and state of emergencies declared by the President of the United States and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, the SCHTA board has moved to reschedule the 19th Annual SCHTA Trade Show to Wednesday May 27th, 2020. The format of the show will remain the same, the only thing changing at this time is the date. Your registrations for both the joint SCHTA breakfast meeting, and the trade show will be applied to the new date. If, for some reason, the new date is not conducive to your schedule please contact us as soon as possible.
We hope that you and your family are staying safe during this time.

SCHTA Trade Show Committee Chair
Join hospitality and tourism professionals from across the state for the annual Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association's legislative action day at the General Assembly. During this event, we meet with our state legislators face-to-face and discuss with them the important issues facing our industry. Prior lobbying experience is not necessary to participate. We will team you up with others from your area and have information packets for you which will explain all of this years legislative issues as well as tips for successful legislative visits.
Tuesday February 11 and Wednesday February 12, 2020.

Throughout the year, the Gatlinburg Hospitality Association works hard to create value for our members by offering luncheons with educational opportunities and support for local organizations that assist our industry employees and residents directly.
During this past year, GHA'S successful golf tournament, membership dues, and meeting attendance enabled us to financially support even more charities than ever! GHA'S charitable donations for 2019 include: $1,500 to Sevier County Partners in Progress Education Foundation, $1,500 to Pi Beta Phi Elementary, $1,000 to Gatlinburg-Pittman High School, $2,000 to Isaiah 117 House Sevier County, $2,600 to Boys & Girls Clubs of The Smoky Mountains, $1,000 to Sevier County Food Ministries, and $1,000 to Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc. Thank you to all who made this possible - we're looking forward to another successful year!
You're invited to a free concert featuring The Velcro Pygmies in Patriot Park on August 14th, hosted by The Micro Wrestling Federation. Donations for Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic will be accepted at the event.
Please join us for great food, fun, and prizes to help GHA support local charities, schools, and other organizations. Breakfast, lunch and drinks provided. Breakfast and registration begin at 7:00 AM; tournament begins with shotgun start at 8:30 AM. Contact Eric Treadway at Eric.Treadway@marriott.com for more information.

Pi Beta Phi Elementary School is raising funds to remodel their library. This library space has remained virtually untouched since this portion of the school was built in 1968. Their goal is to provide Pi Phi Kids with a beautiful space to enjoy reading and media so they may continue to thrive! Attached you will find a slideshow that outlines future plans for the library.
Their first fundraiser, Fantasy, Fairytales & Fables, will take place on February 28th at Ripley's Aquarium. Please see flyer below for details.
